How Does a Stun Gun Work?

The effects typically last 3–5 seconds — more than enough time to escape and call for help.

Stun guns do not knock someone unconscious (that's a Hollywood myth). They cause pain and temporary incapacitation, giving you a window to get away.

Is It Legal to Carry a Stun Gun?
